Program Director of Physical Therapy

Tracy Wall, PT, PhD, is a Clinical Professor and Program Director. Her academic preparation includes the following degrees: BS in PT (Quinnipiac College), MS in PT (Quinnipiac University), and PhD in PT (Nova Southeastern University). She is currently licensed to practice physical therapy in the state of CT (license #).
Her teaching includes: PT 653: Neurological Rehabilitation I (primary instructor lecture and lab); develop and deliver a framework for integrating the assessment and treatment techniques appropriate for adults with various neurological conditions; PT679 Clinical Decision Making III and PT 759: Advanced Clinical Decision Making. Develop and deliver problem-based learning activities and education theories to assist students in continuing to refine and employ their cognitive framework for Physical Therapy practice. Dr Wall maintains clinical expertise through continuing education and research. She attends national conferences such as ELC CSM, and Clinical Reasoning Symposiums. She has completed multiple educational modules related to the most current management of the neurological client. Dr Wall as 28 years of clinical experience in both general care and management of clients with neuromuscular disorders throughout multiple levels of the continuum of care. Dr. Wall is actively engaged in scholarship. Her areas of focus include teaching and learning as it related to the development of metacognitive awareness in physical therapy students which directly relates to her areas of teaching. She has recently presented with Dr Kosior at the Physical Therapy Educational Leadership Conference on Creating a Culture of Assessment in a Doctoral of Physical Therapy Program.
