Many undergraduate courses depend upon student use of personal computers both in and out of the classroom. To support the use of technology in the academic setting, the University requires all incoming freshmen and transfer students to use a laptop.
Quinnipiac believes that students will benefit most from a commercial or business grade laptop that stands to last. To meet the University's laptop requirement, Quinnipiac has partnered with Dell for the ninth year to offer the best value, technology and support for our students.
Quinnipiac recommended laptops are fully configured for use at the University, and include a support package in addition to Dell's ProSupport, next business day on-site service, and CompleteCare, accidental damage coverage. Students will have access to on-campus, comprehensive technical support seven days a week, as well as loaner laptops--available in the event they are without their laptop. Support for students using laptops other than recommended laptops is available for University enterprise applications, including, but not limited to e-mail, Blackboard, WebAdvisor and MyFilespace.
