The week culminates in a live newscast produced in the television studio of the Ed McMahon Mass Communications Center. Participants who complete the program receive a certificate of completion and a DVD copy of their news broadcast.
Students can choose to commute or live on campus for the week. Commuter costs are $795, which include five lunches. The fee for those who wish to spend the week on campus is $1,175, which includes housing and meals. Living on campus allows students to get a feel for the university and participate in evening activities. This program is restricted to high school students 16 years of age or older who will be juniors or seniors in Fall 2010.
