From the day you first contact admissions and then long after you earn your degree, Quinnipiac will be an important partner in your success. The senior administrators oversee the day-to-day and strategic operations of the university with the singular focus of helping you achieve your goals.

Mark Thompson, Executive VP, Provost

Executive Vice President and Provost

Mark Thompson was appointed executive vice president and provost in July 2013 after serving as senior vice president for academic and student affairs since 2008. Prior to that, he served as dean of the School of Business for five years. He joined Quinnipiac in 1998 as associate dean of the School of Business. He is the university's chief operating officer with broad authority and responsibility for internal operations, including academic affairs, student affairs, athletics, public safety and information technology.

Thompson holds a doctorate in economics from Georgia State University and a bachelor's degree in economics/finance from Bentley College.

Vice President for Public Affairs

Lynn Bushnell has been vice president for public affairs since 1996 and has been with Quinnipiac since 1994. She oversees the Quinnipiac University Poll, public relations, media relations, special events, Commencement, Ireland's Great Hunger Museum, Brand Strategy and Integrated Communications, and Quinnipiac's commercial radio station WQUN AM 1220.

Bushnell earned a master's degree in New England studies from the University of Southern Maine in Portland, Maine, and has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York.

Associate Vice President for Admissions and Financial Aid

Gregory Eichhorn was named associate vice president of undergraduate admissions and financial aid at Quinnipiac in 2016, selected by friend and mentor Joan Isaac Mohr, Quinnipiac's longtime vice president for admissions and financial aid. His responsibilities include oversight of admissions and financial aid for undergraduate and graduate programs. Previously, Eichhorn worked at Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, for 24 years, most recently as vice president of enrollment management and dean of admission.

Eichhorn received his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Fairfield University with a minor in economics, and an MBA in management from Hofstra University.

Vice President, Facilities and Capital Planning

Salvatore Filardi joined Quinnipiac in 2012. He oversees facilities management, campus planning, construction and real estate acquisitions for each of Quinnipiac University's three campuses. Previously, he was the associate vice chancellor at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth campus. In his eighteen years in higher education, he has been involved in facilities management, energy management, campus planning, construction and building commissioning for dozens of colleges and universities across the country. 

He holds a bachelor's in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Cornell University and an MBA in finance, organizational management, and strategy and management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Vice President/Chief Operations Officer, Online Programs

Cindy Gallatin was appointed vice president and chief operating officer for online programs in 2015. She previously served for a decade as associate vice president and chief operating officer for online programs. Prior to that, Gallatin served in various roles of increasing responsibility in Quinnipiac's online education arena and also serves as an adjunct faculty member in the School of Business.

Before joining Quinnipiac, she held positions in sales and marketing for a marketing database company, Survey Sampling Inc., and for a medical textbook publishing division of Prentice-Hall.

Gallatin holds a BS in biology from Fairfield University and an MBA in marketing from the University of Bridgeport.

Jean Husted was appointed vice president for human resources in 2015 and is responsible for leading the university's human resources function to strategically deliver programs, services and support that drive employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. Since 1997 she has served as vice president/executive associate to the president, overseeing all operations and special projects of the Office of the President.

Husted earned her master's degree in economics from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, an MBA from Quinnipiac, a bachelor's degree in business and economics from Cornell College in Iowa, and an advanced certificate in strategic human resources management from Cornell University.

Joan Isaac Mohr was appointed vice president of admissions and financial aid in July 2013 after serving as vice president and dean of admissions for 20 years. She joined Quinnipiac in 1993 after 20 years in admissions at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, leaving as assistant vice president for enrollment management and dean of admissions. Isaac Mohr is responsible for admissions and financial aid for undergraduate and graduate programs, excluding the School of Law.

She received her master's degree in education from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York, and her bachelor's degree in history and education from Hofstra.

Vice President, Brand Strategy and Integrated Communications

Keith Rhodes was appointed the university’s first vice president for brand strategy and integrated communications in March 2014 following more than 20 years at top strategic marketing communications agencies in New York and Boston. Throughout his career, Rhodes has led marketing communications programs for some of the world's most influential consumer brands and his teams have achieved more than 60 marketing communications industry awards for their innovation and effectiveness.

In his current role at Quinnipiac, Rhodes oversees a team of 30+ individuals and is responsible for university-wide and school-level brand strategy, brand identity and integrated marketing communications across all university communications channels and audience touchpoints.

Rhodes earned his MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, and has a bachelor of science in marketing from Quinnipiac University. He is also a graduate of the Institute for Educational Management program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Mark Varholak was appointed vice president and chief financial officer in July 2015, after serving as associate vice president for budget and financial planning since July 2013. Prior to that he was the university's associate controller for 10 years.

Varholak earned his MBA with concentrations in finance and international business from New York University. He also has a bachelor's degree in accounting and international business from Pennsylvania State University.

Donald Weinbach was appointed vice president for development and alumni affairs in 1996 after six years as executive director of development and alumni affairs at Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts. He oversees all fundraising and state and governmental affairs.

Weinbach holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Merrimack College.
