PT 524 - Applied Pharmacology II
(1 cr.) PT 524 introduces students to the clinical application of the chemical agents within the human being and how these agents alter the function of the body. Students learn how drugs are administered intelligently and safely. The different modes of action, side effects, mechanism of action, toxicity of such chemicals and the kinetics are considered. The course is meant to provide a comprehensive, accurate and relevant understanding of how drug therapy can affect cardiovascular and pulmonary patients.
