ICM 513 - Advanced User Centered Design
(3 cr.) This elective builds on the basic usability concepts introduced in ICM 512 and provides students with professional-level experience in the evaluation of user interfaces. Students explore cognitive aspects of user interaction with computers and become familiar with various methods of user data gathering. Through projects involving field and usability studies, cognitive walkthroughs and heuristic analysis, students learn how to apply users' input into their own designs. Prerequisite can be waived with permission of the program director. Prerequisite: ICM 512; As Needed
