COM 490 - Communications Career Internship
(3 cr.) This course aims to promote professional growth through observation and participation in jointly supervised fieldwork with a cooperating business or organization. The course also provides the opportunity for students to meet and work with active professionals while defining their own career goals, building their portfolios and growing their network. Students complete a minimum of 120 hours of fieldwork supervised by the course director and a qualified field supervisor. Internship placements must be approved by the assistant dean of career development in accordance with school policies and prior to earning credit. Junior/senior status is required.
