OT 555 - Pharmacology and Environmental Toxins Affecting Human Performance
(3 cr.) This course addresses the effects of drug therapy and environmental toxins on the therapeutic process and daily occupational performance of clients. Pharmacokinetics, side effects, drug interactions and current environmental risks are addressed for each body system. Students identify implications for practice based on performance effects observed. This course integrates information from previous courses on bodily systems, human performance, and environmental risk factors with advanced practice issues related to medication and environmental risks.
