PS 242 - School Psychology
(3 cr.) Theoretical and pragmatic concerns of the school psychologist are considered. Topics include child development, psychoeducational assessment, applied behavior analysis, special education legislation, and the role of the public schools as a social institution. Identification and treatments of various school-related exceptionalities such as learning and intellectual disabilities, speech and language disorders, autism, ADHD and giftedness are investigated.
