LAWS 341 - Insurance
(2 cr.) This course is a study of the legal principles applicable to the control of insurance and to the state regulation of insurance. These principles will be examined in the light of their institutional setting. Legal and non-legal material will be utilized in this course. Topics studied are: Formation of a contract; insurable interest; premiums; construction of life, property, accident liability and group contracts; concealments; warranties; conditions; exceptions; waiver; and estoppel.
