PO 131 - (UC) Introduction to American Government and Politics
(3 cr.) This course covers the development of the constitution, the nature of Federalism, the state and the national government. Students explore the duties and powers of the President, Congress, the Supreme Court and administrative agencies. Political parties, the nominating process, elections and electoral behavior as well as political interest groups and public opinion are considered. Every Year, Fall and Spring
