LAWS 372 - Representation in Mediation
(1 cr.) The principal focus of this course will be to explore mediation advocacy issues for the practitioner representing a client in a mediation. Mediation concepts and implications for developing skills for client representation will be examined. Mediation oriented styles, skills and techniques will be contrasted with the techniques required in litigation and arbitration. The exclusive emphasis will be on the practitioner's role as an advocate rather than as a neutral/mediator. (1 credit) Prerequisite: LAWS 428.
