SCI 162 - (UC) Consumer Chemistry
(3 cr.) Students are introduced to the methods of science by studying the chemistry of the Earth's environment. Topics include the atmosphere and chemical pollutants, the ozone layer and its interaction with light waves, the implications of consumer products upon global warming, the chemistry of Earth's water supply, the chemical nature of acids, bases, pH and the causes of acid rain.
