LAWS 252 - Symposium:readings in Legal Thought
(1 cr.) Students in this symposium will read a selection of important works in the development of American legal thought from the late nineteenth century to the present. Authors to be discussed include Oliver Wendell Holmes, Karl Llewellyn, Ronald Coase, Ronald Dworkin, Robert Cover, and Catharine A. MacKinnon. Topics will include Legal Process, Economic Analysis of Law, the Law and Society Movement, and Critical Legal Studies. Several short papers required.
