NUR 550 - Family Primary Care I Maternal/Child Focus
(2 cr.) The childbearing family is the focus of this course. Dual frameworks of family theory and lifespan development are used to develop health promotion strategies and facilitate anticipatory guidance. Emphasis is placed on developing the student's knowledge base to care for the pregnant woman, well infant and child in diverse communities. Opportunities to evaluate theory and research findings relevant to holistic care of the family are provided. Intended for students in the master's level family nurse practitioner track.
