GR 300 - German Business Culture
(3 cr.) Students are introduced to vocabulary and etiquette in a German-language business context, and learn about differences between American and German business practices. Students develop practical skills, such as writing business letters, resumes, application letters and business emails, as well as communicating effectively in job interviews, common business situations and on the telephone. Students review and expand their knowledge of German grammar. Language and cultural proficiency are enhanced through a variety of homework and in-class assignments such as role-playing and individual and group projects. Particular emphasis is placed on listening and reading comprehension, as well as oral expression in complete, idiomatic sentences. Prerequisite: GR 202; Every Year, Fall
