Christopher Neidig is an online instructional designer at Quinnipiac University concentrating in integrating audio and video into web based teaching. An area of concentration for Chris is the examination of emerging trends in online course facilitation, and models for online and hybrid course design. He specializes in rich media projects, iTunesU, Web 2.0 integration, podcasts, vodcasts, and interactive Flash-Based videos. While at Quinnipiac Chris has led workshops on podcasting and screen capturing tools, and how to effectively use these tools in higher education. As an adjunct professor at Lincoln College of New England he has developed and taught courses in photographic technology and visual literacy. While a multi-media specialist at Sacred Heart University he was one of the recipients to receive the “Creative Use of Technology Award” from the New England Association of Continuing Higher Education at the ACHE’s regional conference in April 2008. Chris has also presented his work on Flash based media delivery at several NERCOMP(North East Regional Computing Program) conferences. As a freelance media producer he developed local business and housing association Web sites. Chris also created a showcase Web site for a prominent high school basketball team that utilized video to attract college representatives to recruit student athletes. Chris has a Masters of Science in Electronic Media from Quinnipiac University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a Minor in Music from Quinnipiac University.
