The Law Library is open to all Quinnipiac University students, faculty, staff, and graduates; it is also open to the public. Law school students and faculty from other NELLCO member institutions may also use the law library. Students and faculty from the Quinnipiac University School of Law may also use the selected resources at the Yale Law School and University of Connecticut law libraries.

By following these policies for using the library, you will help to foster an environment which facilitates education, research and scholarship for the university community and the general public through collegiality, cooperation and respect. In keeping with these goals, we ask all library patrons to help maintain a quiet atmosphere.

  • Cell phones and pagers should be set to silent mode, and conversations should take place outside of the library.
  • Food is permitted only in the Library Commons, SLE 221.
  • Beverages are permitted in the Law Library so long as they are in containers with lids or caps.
  • Circulating books must be checked out at the Circulation/Reserve Desk before they can be removed from the library.
  • Theft, hiding, or defacing of library materials is a serious offense, and violates the Student Conduct Code. An offense may subject a violator to action by the Student Discipline Committee. Any of these actions may result in the revocation of library privileges.
