The Office of Financial Aid receives notification of various scholarships that are awarded by organizations other than the School of Law. These organizations have their own application and selection criteria for awarding private funds. Scholarships vary in amount and criteria and students are responsible for all application, renewal and disbursement paperwork. 

Current Students

Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association Scholarship
The Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association will award up to five $2,000 non-renewable scholarships to current law students, for the 2016-2017 academic year. Applicants do not need to be of Hispanic heritage, but must have a demonstrated commitment to the Latino community. Applications and additional scholarship information are available at: All applications must be postmarked by September 30, 2016.  

National Association of Women Judges (NAWJ) District 2 Scholarship
The NAWJ through its Access to Justice Scholarship Program will award a $500 scholarship for the 2016-17 academic year to a deserving law student who has demonstrated a sustained and passionate commitment to the achievement of equality of opportunity and access in the system of justice. The scholarship recipient must have completed their first year of law school, is currently enrolled and in good academic standing. Applications and additional scholarship information are available in the Office of Financial Aid. The application deadline is September 7, 2016.
