LAWS 393 - Business Planning
(4 cr.) This course represents an opportunity for students to integrate their work in previous substantive courses by examining a series of common business transactions. Students will work in groups to consider and make recommendations to their clients on the choice of entity, capitalization, control, valuation, compensation, and management. They will consider the opportunities for expansion if the business is successful, including going public, merger or acquisition, or sale of the business. They will also consider the consequences of failure: liquidation or dissolution of the business. Prerequisites: Federal Income Taxation. Prerequisite: LAWS 305; Every Year, All
