Fitness + Recreation

Quinnipiac has three fitness centers—one on each of Quinnipiac's campuses. From weight-lifting to yoga classes, students are sure to find fitness activities that suit their interests.

Services available to graduate students include:

Fitness Centers: The Mount Carmel Fitness and Recreation Center consists of the Burt Kahn Court, a weight room and fitness center, an indoor multipurpose area for intramural and recreational activities as well as outdoor athletic fields and tennis and basketball courts. Graduate students are also welcome to use the fitness center on the York Hill Campus, which includes a Spinning room, yoga studio, cardiovascular machines and weights. The North Haven Campus hosts a mini-fitness center with several cardio machines, a free weight area, and a few weight machines. 

Aerobic Classes: A regular schedule of kickboxing, yoga, etc. is offered throughout the year. Schedules & program descriptions posted on MyQ (Quinnipiac login and password required).

Intramurals: A comprehensive intramural program is offered throughout the year: basketball, volleyball, softball, and more. Check the Athletics website for schedules and program descriptions. Contact Michael Medina, associate director of intramurals, at 203-582-5393 for additional information.

Other Resources: The North Haven Campus, where many graduate classes are held, features walking trails, a mini fitness center and a yoga and meditation room.
