Extensive Collection of Resources

The Arnold Bernhard Library serves Quinnipiac's undergraduate and graduate populations and provides support for the School of Law. Approximately 48,000 square feet in size, the Bernhard Library features 600 seats - including many with spectacular views of Sleeping Giant Mountain and the scenic Quinnipiac campus - 13 group rooms, a 30-seat instructional facility, more than 60 public computer terminals and nearly 600 power/data connections for laptop computers. A large variety of Web-based resources (including a growing number of full-text/full-image titles) are available, as well as printed volumes, microforms and audiovisual materials.

The library is named for Arnold Bernhard, the founder and former chief executive officer of Value Line, Inc., the world's largest investment advisory service. Bernhard's son, A. Van H. Bernhard of Southport, made the library renovation project possible by donating $1 million for the library project and an additional $3 million for the University's endowment in 1997. The donation was the largest in University history.
