Financial Aid

File your FAFSA by March 1

Quinnipiac's code for the FAFSA is 001402.

Even if you are only interested in receiving federal student or parent loans, filing the FAFSA is required. Regardless of your financial need, you can borrow up to $5,500 as a first-year student, $6,500 as a sophomore and $7,500 as a junior or senior.

The FAFSA is available at fafsa.gov and is based on your family's 2018 tax information. If you haven't submitted the FAFSA already, please filed by March 1 if you wish to be considered for any federal, state or Quinnipiac need-based grant aid.

Your merit-based scholarship is noted in your acceptance letter. You will receive a letter from the Office of Financial Aid notifying you when your financial aid award is accessible online. Go to qu.edu/finaid to view your award.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get financial aid?
All students must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for all forms of financial aid. The FAFSA can be filed online.

Quinnipiac's FAFSA code is 001402.

When will I receive my financial aid award?
You'll receive a letter from the Office of Financial Aid when your offer notification is ready to be viewed online. If you filed the FAFSA and no award appears, please check with the financial aid office to see if we are missing any information by calling 203-582-8750.

When might I hear about scholarships?
Transfer students are eligible to be considered for scholarships based on your GPA. If you are not eligible to receive a merit award, you can still be considered for financial aid, which includes federal, state or Quinnipiac grants, work study, loans, etc.

Will I be guaranteed housing once I pay the housing deposit?
Yes. Transfer students will likely be assigned together in double rooms in suite housing (some with full kitchens) on the Mount Carmel Campus or in the all-suite Crescent residence hall on the York Hill Campus.
