School of Communications Preview Days

Get to know the School of Communications with 3 distinctive events hosted by the deans, faculty, alumni and current students. These events are designed to highlight some of the exciting opportunities available to you as a QU student. Each event will feature breakout sessions based on academic interest so you can engage with faculty and fellow students who will share their own QU experiences with you and discuss what is on the horizon for you.

Preview Day #1

February 17, 7–8:30 p.m.

Learn about the student experience from young alums who have recently completed their degrees and launched their careers. Shannon Fitzmaurice ’12, line producer and production manager with WarnerMedia in NYC and Emmy award winner along with Ayah Galal ’17, reporter and producer with WFSB in Hartford, will share their experience as Quinnipiac students. You’ll even connect with one alum who has made it big — we’re talking Academy Award big. Screenwriter and Oscar winner for Best Adapted Screenplay for BlaKkKlansman, David Rabinowitz ’09 will share his experience as well. We’ll chat about student experiences, internships, careers and answer your questions.

Preview Day #2

Save the date: March 24, 7–8:30 p.m.
Get ready to experience life as a QU student with a simulated classroom discussion featuring current students. Don’t worry — this isn’t a lecture and there is no quiz at the end. We’ll have a great time exploring the School of Communications together. Getting to know your faculty and classmates is one of the most rewarding aspects of learning at Quinnipiac and we want you to get started early.

Learning at QU goes far beyond the classroom with countless experiential learning opportunities including study abroad, internships, academic organizations and competitions, plus get a sneak peek at some of the exciting opportunities current students are participating in that could use your support when you join us.
