Class, in America, can often be overlooked as we continue the fight for equity of all. This session will remember and honor the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s fight for class before his assassination. In 1968, he sought to lead the Poor People’s Campaign to push forward solutions to classism in America. During DCGE’s annual MLK Dream Week, we seek to explore class and classism in America and how these ideologies are still plaguing our society today.
