Harm Reduction and Social Work: Policy, Community, Organizational and Individual Perspectives

In celebration of Social Work Month, the Department of Social Work (School of Health Sciences) presents a seminar/workshop on harm reduction. This term refers to a range of public health policies designed to lessen the negative social and/or physical consequences associated with various human behaviors, both legal and illegal. Mark Jenkins, Founder and Executive Director of CT Harm Reduction Alliance, will serve as the keynote speaker. A panel discussion including alumni of the Quinnipiac MSW Program will follow. Licensed social workers are eligible for 1.5 continuing education credits.
