Hattie McDaniel Bake Sale

Hattie McDaniel was an American actress, singer-songwriter, and comedienne. For her role as Mammy in Gone with the Wind, she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, becoming the first African American to win an Oscar. She was a member of SIgma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. during her lifetime and she sadly passed away due to breast cancer. In honor of her memory and for breast cancer awareness month, we had fundraisers, programs, and walks to support those who have passed and are fighting their battle against breast cancer. For this fundraiser, we will sell cookies to raise money for women with breast cancer.
