Inclusive Excellence Summer Assembly

The Inclusive Excellence Teaching Lab will host the Third Inclusive Excellence Summer Assembly (IESA) on May 16th and 17th, 2023. This is a two-day convening designed to affirm the role of community members as collective stewards of institutional change and provide tangible resources and takeaways. The Third IESA encourages faculty, students, and staff across the university and our community neighbors to explore issues of agency. Agency can be defined as the capacity of individuals to have the power and resources to fulfill their potential. With a sense of agency all members of our community can express their authentic self and feel completely welcome, secure, and supported to teach and learn. How does your service to your community affect the possibility of agency? How is your learning and teaching affected by this sense of agency? The goal for the Summer Assembly is to encourage growth, provide tools and share resources to make this change through engaging dialogue surrounding agency and create learning opportunities for everyone. To achieve this goal, we invite you to send us a proposal by April 3rd.
