Join the Department of Cultural & Global Engagement for our signature event for Native American Heritage Month. We will be hosting a film screening of Gather followed by a live Q&A with Tarren Andrews (Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes). Gather is an intimate portrait of the growing movement amongst Native Americans to reclaim their spiritual, political and cultural identities through food sovereignty, while battling the trauma of centuries of genocide. Tarren Andrews will join the Yale Program in Ethnicity, Race, and Migration as an Assistant Professor on July 1, 2023. She is currently appointed as a Postdoctoral Associate for the 2022-23 academic year.
