The Big Event

The Big Event is the largest day of community service on campus. There will be about 1600 undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, staff, and alumni participating in 3 hours of community service at about 100 sites in the Hamden and New Haven area. Sign in and breakfast will begin at 8 am and go until 9 am when opening ceremonies starts. Opening ceremonies will start at 9 am and end around 9:30 am. At 9:30 am, everyone will depart for their sites for 3 hours of community service. They will then arrive back on campus around 1:30 pm for lunch and the closing activity.
