What do We Need for a Revolution? The Role of Art in Organizing for Political Change

Join us for a discussion with members of the history, theater, and political science departments on the themes and impact of the new musical Bulgaria! Revolt! Topics will include the role of the artist in times of political turmoil; the rise of fascism; surveillance, censorship, violent retaliation; the nature of revolutionary action; collective action as a tool to combat dehumanization and exploitation (labor movements, unionizing, strikes, etc); and immigration interspersed with music from the musical.
