Alexander M. Meiklejohn is a Professor of Law at Quinnipiac University School of Law. He teaches Contracts, Commercial Law, Real Estate Transactions, and Franchise Law, and co-teaches a Commercial Transactions Workshop with two faculty colleagues. He has also taught as a Visiting Professor of Law at Washington University School of Law in Saint Louis. He has received several awards for excellence in teaching and a Connecticut Law Tribune award for professional excellence. His publications and research interests are in commercial law and franchising.
Professor Meiklejohn is a member of the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising and a co-chair of the Forum’s Professors Committee. He was the Lead Editor and a chapter author of the Forum’s casebook on franchise law. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association Section on Franchise, Dealer, and Distribution Law. Before joining the law school faculty in 1981, he practiced law with the firm of Niles & Gibbs in Woodstock, Vt.
