Associate Professor of Anthropology

Diane Stock is the Senior Associate Dean in the College of Arts and Sciences. She drafts and manages the budget for Arts and Sciences, oversees laboratories and facilities for the college, and handles student issues. She teaches occasional courses in Anthropology and also online Excel courses designed for Arts and Sciences majors. She holds a PhD in Biological Anthropology from SUNY Stony Brook, and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Connecticut.
Diane's professional interests lie in openness of communication and information sharing as a way to achieve institutional excellence, and in budgeting as a means to achieve the college's strategic mission. Diane's academic interests lie in the are of Plio-Pleistocene human evolution, focusing on the migration of humans out of Africa and the relationships among pre-historic human communities.
