Quinnipiac University
Joseph Woods has been a member of Quinnipiac University’s faculty for 50 years. He has progressed through the ranks from his initial appointment as an assistant professor in 1970 to a full professor currently. He has taught courses in biological research methods and human anatomy and physiology. He absolutely loves teaching. He served as the chair of the Department of Biology for three years and as the dean of the School of Health Sciences for eighteen years. He worked for twenty-five years with a fellow faculty member, Dr. Brenda Bigland-Ritchie, doing research on human muscle fatigue. He has co-authored over 50 scientific research papers and two book chapters.
