Assistant Teaching Professor of Economics

Linda Fisher currently serves as Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Economics. Her courses include Everyday Economics, Principles of Micro and Macroeconomics, Public Finance, Urban Economics, Current Economic Issues, and Senior Seminar.

Linda has been working in academia since 1994 with a break to raise her son Garrett from 2002 - 2014 has has taught at a variety of colleges starting with Middlebury College in 1994. Her primary field of research is environmental economics and her dissertation concerned the multi-market impacts of recycling.

Linda's academic service passions are in academic advising, advising student groups and academic integrity. Outside of academia she works to serve poor and needy populations both locally and in southern Africa. She is married to Shawn Fisher who is the pastor at Bloomfield Congregational church and mom to son Garrett who is at Bryant University.
