Mary K. Peterson, DNP, APRN, PPCNP-BC is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing at Quinnipiac University and the Director of the Quinnipiac Accelerated Nursing Program. She earned a Master of Science degree from Yale University School of Nursing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Quinnipiac University in Leadership. She is board certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and specializes in pediatric primary care. In addition to her faculty role, she continues to practice as an APRN at Southington Pediatrics. She has years of experience in clinical practice caring for pediatric patients.
Mary’s expertise is pediatrics. She teaches pediatric content in the undergraduate and graduate programs, along with health assessment. Her areas of scholarship include life-threatening food allergies and the effects of the opioid crisis on children and families.
