Biographical Summary
Nelson Uzoechi-Uzoma Alino is a tenured Professor of Accounting and Taxation. He is currently the Chair of the Department of Accounting and Director of the MSA program at Quinnipiac University’s Lender School of Business. His tenure as the department chair at Quinnipiac University is now into the fifth year. He has continued to take his administrative and leadership skills to higher levels following a series of successful projects at Quinnipiac University. He recently led the Accounting Program at Quinnipiac University to achieve a separate AACSB accreditation, putting the program among the 5% of accounting programs in the world with the AACSB separate accreditation. Prior to joining academia, Prof. Alino worked in public accounting and healthcare audit. He rose to management levels in the banking industry in Nigeria. He started his own financial services firm in the United States and has been very active in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) faculty activities. His research interest includes the evaluation of behavioral accounting and financial management. Prof. Alino has published several articles in accounting and business academic journals. He is currently working on a few articles targeting the professional journals. Recently, his experiences at the African Continental Bank (ACB) Nigeria and certification as a Forensic Accountant (CRFA) informed his interest in reviewing corporate insolvency and litigation issues.
