Dr. Susan Kosman came to Quinnipiac University School of Nursing in 2016 as an adjunct faculty member. Dr Kosman became a full-time faculty member in 2018. She currently teaches graduate and undergraduate courses both online and on ground. Teaching subject areas include: Population Health, Leadership, Health Policy, and Evidenced Based Practice and Scholarship.
Prior to joining Quinnipiac Dr. Kosman was engaged in the Healthcare industry for two decades. At Aetna, she held a variety of regional and national clinical and operational positions including serving as Chief Nursing Officer. At Optum she served as Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, Population Health Management Operations. Earlier in her career she provided inpatient pediatric care at SUNY Downstate and was a visiting nurse for the VNSNY MCH-Peds program in New York City. All these experiences fuel her passion for health equity.
Dr. Kosman earned her BSN from SUNY Downstate, MS in Organizational Leadership from Quinnipiac University, and DNP from Sacred Heart University.
