Timely. Accurate. The “gold standard” of its kind. Since its informal beginnings in 1988, the Quinnipiac University Poll is widely known and highly regarded for its exactness and thoroughness. The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The New York Times, CNN, Reuters and more turn to the poll as a barometer of public opinion in matters of politics, elections, and issues of public concern.

How we work

For a typical public opinion survey, a randomly selected sample of about 1,000 registered voters age 18 and over is interviewed over five or six days. The polls are conducted at the Polling Institute on West Woods Road, close to the Mount Carmel and York Hill Campuses.
