Emphasizing a holistic approach

Quinnipiac aims to provide our faculty and staff with expert speakers, incentives for focused preventive care, useful daily management tools, rich resources and support for individual wellness goals.

iving Well is a cornerstone of life in #BobcatNation, providing faculty and staff with tools, resources and support needed to achieve their personal wellness goals.

The Living Well team is dedicated to educating, motivating, and empowering individuals to make healthy lifestyle choices. 

“We expanded the program to include those not enrolled in a medical plan as well with an additional opportunity to participate in at least two Living Well events which includes interactive workshops, on financial planning,” said Tina Monteiro, manager of employee services. 

The 50-plus wellness events planned each year are set to encourage employees to be aware of important health-related opportunities, know about key health risk indicators and empower them to make lifestyle changes to improve their health and reduce their risk of developing illnesses.

“To be able to care for your family, friends, students, you must first take care of yourself. It’s like the advice we’re given on airplanes: Put on your own oxygen mask before trying to help someone else with theirs,” said Monteiro. “Taking care of yourself is a valid goal on its own, and it helps you support the people you love. Quinnipiac faculty and staff benefit from and enjoy the many facets of our wellness program.”
