t was the shot heard around the world — or, in his case, the 15 shots.
Cameron Young scored a MAAC record-shattering 55 total points on Sunday, propelling Quinnipiac men’s basketball team past rival Siena, 107-100, in triple-overtime.
His 55 points are not just the most of any student-athlete so far this season in the NCAA, nor is it merely a Quinnipiac Division I program record, but it’s:
- the third most points by an NCAA Division I player in the last 20 years
- Quinnipiac record for 3-pointers made (9)
- Most points ever scored at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York
