Berry appointed university registrar
July 10, 2014 - Joshua Berry has been appointed university registrar. In his new position, Berry will oversee all aspects of the Registrar's Office.
"I am very excited to join the Quinnipiac community and to be able to work in concert with others to continue the established successful outcomes this institution has provided for all constituencies," Berry said.
During his six-year career as director of enrollment services at Brown University, Berry managed all enrollment services activity for 7,200 students and created and implemented a customer relationship management tool to improve customer service outreach and address high volume communications and student retention. During this period, he was able to also transition to a paper-free work environment, which allowed for improved delivery of advising tools and pertinent data to the various university constituencies.
"I very much value the role the Registrar's Office has in the execution of the University's mission to deliver transparent and seamless service to students, their families and all associated campus stakeholders," Berry said. "As the overall educational experience across higher education continues to progress to a more dynamic deliverable, it is my hope that the Registrar's Office will be at the vanguard of these evolutions."
Before joining Brown, Berry was assistant university registrar at the University of Massachusetts. Berry earned his bachelor's degree from Eastern Connecticut State University.
"Josh brings a demonstrated record of accomplishment across multiple focuses within higher education, and a particularly strong background in the registration process," Executive Vice President and Provost Mark Thompson said. "Josh's skill set is well matched for Quinnipiac University, particularly given his demonstrated experience with student-focused enrollment management and retention strategies."
