Delegates forge connections in Poland

July 30, 2014 - From June 15 to 18, University officials from the Central European Institute traveled to Poland with Pete and Kasia Novak, founders of the Novak Family Polish Chair, to meet with met several universities, businesses, associations and individuals eager to develop relationships with Quinnipiac.

Christopher Ball, director of the Central European Institute, Don Weinbach, vice president for development and alumni affairs, and Hanna Hejmowksi, executive assistant to the director of the Central European Institute, also joined the Novaks.

The Institute has also begun searches for the first scholarship students from Poland and for a faculty member to fill the Novak Family Polish Chair. The scholarship students and the faculty member will begin at Quinnipiac in Fall 2015.

During the coming months, the Central European Institute will continue to develop relationships and establish partnerships with organizations in Poland, including another networking trip in October.
