University appoints new staff member to health sciences library
Jan. 30, 2013 - Matt E. Wilcox has been appointed associate director of technical services for the Health Sciences Library, which will open later this year as part of the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine on the North Haven Campus.
The library, which is expected to open this July, will provide electronic access to health sciences information, provide training to faculty and students in finding and evaluating evidence-based health information, and support the curricular needs of the Schools of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences.
Before joining Quinnipiac, Wilcox was the public health librarian and director of academic technology at the School of Public Health at Yale University.
Wilcox holds a master's degree in library information sciences from the University of Illinois and a master's degree in English from James Madison University. He is a member of the Medical Library Association and the North Atlantic Health Sciences Librarians association.
