Purpose
The Primary Care Fellows Program provides a grant up to the annual cost of tuition and fees (for four years) to one incoming student who wishes to pursue a career in primary care (pediatrics, family medicine or general internal medicine). As a condition for receiving the Primary Care Fellowship, you must sign a Primary Care Fellowship Agreement in which you agree to practice primary care.
For each year of service in primary care, Fellows would be forgiven a year’s worth of financial obligation to Quinnipiac University. Fellows must begin their service obligation under this program no later than March 31 following completion of their residency program. Fellows not completing medical school or residency, or who choose to enter a specialty field, would be obligated to reimburse the university for tuition and fees.
Please note: If you do not complete your primary care obligation, all the fellowship funding you received will be converted to a loan with interest charged from the date the fellowship funding was disbursed to your billing account.
