The First-Generation College Graduate Scholarship supports a medical student who is a first-generation college graduate who has demonstrated academic excellence and commitment to community service.

Purpose

To support a medical student who is a first-generation college graduate who has demonstrated academic excellence and commitment to community service.

Scholarship Requirements

To apply for this scholarship, an applicant must:

  • Be accepted and matriculate to the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine
  • Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Be a first-generation college graduate
  • Have demonstrated commitment to community service
  • Write an essay (500-word limit) describing how being a first-generation college graduate has shaped your commitment toward academic excellence and commitment to community service.

How to Apply

Application Deadline

March 1 or within two weeks after receipt of your acceptance to the medical school if admitted after March 1. All award decisions will be made no later than April 15.
