Outside Scholarships
An outside scholarship is considered a resource and must be included in a student’s financial aid package. If state or federal funds are part of the package, the scholarship amount, combined with the student’s other aid, cannot exceed student need. At Quinnipiac, students who receive such a scholarship may use it to reduce their loans whenever possible and/or work study award. Gift aid will be reduced when a student receives an outside scholarship if it is required to maintain eligibility for federal, state, institutional or other need-based aid.
