Certificate Program in Computed Tomography

The Department of Diagnostic Imaging offers a certificate program designed to assist current radiologic technologists in training and proficiency in computed tomography (CT) operation, sectional anatomy and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) examination results.

The two-semester, 17-credit program includes hands-on labs on the 64-slice Toshiba Aquilion system in the School of Health Sciences facility on Quinnipiac's North Haven Campus.

All academic courses are offered in the evenings for the busy RT, along with flexible clinical assignments to help you meet the ARRT clinical objectives.

Fall course offerings include:
RS 322 Sectional Anatomy I (3 credits)
RS 338: Intro to CT (3 credits)
RS 338L: Computed Tomography Lab I (1 credit)
RS 438: Clinical Practicum I* (2 credits)

Spring course offerings include:
RS 323: Sectional Anatomy II (3 credits)
RS 460: Pathology for CT / MRI (3 credits)
RS 439: Clinical Practicum II* (2 credits)

*Both clinical practicums are a minimum of 24 hours per week
