The anesthesiologist assistant program starts each year in late May. Early applications are strongly encouraged and will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Students can apply with outstanding pre-requisite courses as long as all pre-requisite courses will be completed by the start of class. Please review the application checklist for detailed instructions regarding the application.

For the May 2017 start, online applications will be accepted from April 1, 2016-Feb. 1, 2017.

The Central Application Service for Anesthesiologist Assistants (CASAA) collects and manages all applications to the anesthesiologist assistant program. Transcripts and payment should not be sent to Quinnipiac University; applicants should only send those documents to CASAA. The application is a two-step process. First, applicants must complete the common application, then complete Quinnipiac University's supplemental application to apply to our AA program. Both applications are found on the CASAA website.

All applicants should be aware that admission to the anesthesiologist assistant program is highly selective and competitive due to the limited number of spaces available in the program. Qualification criteria specified herein are minimum criteria, and no applicants are guaranteed admission to the program, even though they may meet such minimum criteria. Quinnipiac University reserves the right to select for admission those applicants it deems best qualified for admission while complying with all applicable laws. Quinnipiac University also reserves the right to determine program size.

The most highly qualified candidates for admission will be invited for personal interviews. During the interview process, candidates will have the opportunity to meet faculty, attend a brief orientation to the University and the program, and tour the unique facilities that provide unparalleled learning opportunities for students. Interviews are by request of the admission committee only. Interviews will take place in the fall and in the beginning of the new year.

Eligible applicants will receive a request for an interview from the program via email and USPS mail. All interviews are scheduled at the Quinnipiac University North Haven Campus. The interview, which is a mandatory part of the application process, is held on Saturdays and typically begin at 8 a.m. and end by 5 p.m. The program provides information about transportation, lodging, and on-campus parking at the time the interview is scheduled. It is important that the program office have an applicant's current, daytime phone number so that he/she can be contacted in a timely manner about any last-minute interview changes.

Please note that for all components of the application, failure to provide complete and accurate information or to knowingly provide false information will result in immediate withdrawal of the application and denial of admission to an applicant.

Prior to matriculation, each person accepted into the anesthesiologist assistant program must provide an official transcript showing completion of all required course work and must submit official verification of receipt of undergraduate degree.

Complete transcripts and an official record of undergraduate degree must be on file with the program before registration will be permitted for the first semester.
