Minor Overview

Because of the increasingly technical nature of our lives today, chemistry finds its way into many areas, including pharmaceutical sales, patent law and government. Possessing a working knowledge of chemistry will give you a competitive edge and enable you to pursue a career in a broad spectrum of fields. Whether you’re majoring in another science or in something entirely unrelated, an added proficiency in chemistry will draw the attention of prospective employers.

Our chemistry minor explores general, organic and analytical chemistry, and will give you extensive lab experience. You’ll also be able to choose one elective lab course that suits your particular interest, either in biochemistry, physical chemistry or instrumental analysis.
